The General Direction of Roads (DGC), of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, awards INGECID the project “Pilot experience of implementation of BIM methodology in the project and work phase in the DGC”, whose main objective is to define the guidelines that allow the implementation of BIM methodology in the project and work phases of the DGC actions.

For this purpose, the “Construction project to increase the capacity of the Polanco-Santander section of the A-67 highway in Cantabria” has been selected, in which a comparative analysis will be made between a BIM project and a traditional one, with the aim of generating lessons learned and information that can be extrapolated to future DGC projects.

INGECID will provide its experience in the application of the BIM methodology in this type of infrastructures and our software VIRCORE will be the CDE in charge of managing the project documentation.
