24 August 2023

We are proud to share this new international achievement, ESKOM has awarded an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) for the design and construction of a spent fuel container storage facility at the Koeberg Nuclear Power Plant to the KCC (Koeberg Civils Consortium), formed by Ingecid’s subsidiary in South Africa and the local construction company WBHO Construction. The contract includes the performance of structural and radiological calculations required to comply with nuclear regulations, preparation of licensing documentation and support in this process with the National Nuclear Regulator (NNR). The design of the auxiliary civil structures will also be carried out, including the drafting of the construction project for execution by WBHO.
Once again, we would like to congratulate the entire INGECID team, which has made this possible.
