INGECID together with A-Ingenia, Degree of Freedom and Meta Engineering has been awarded the contract by FGV for the construction management, technical assistance and health and safety coordination of the works of the “Construction project of duplication of track and electrification between the Hospital Vila halt and Benidorm station”, with an approximate award amount of 1.2 M€.

With a Material Execution Budget of 33,682,311.68 €, the purpose of the works, of which the UTE will carry out the Technical Assistance and Works Management, is the doubling of the track, electrification and provision of signaling and railway communications in the section between the Hospital Vila (Vila Joiosa) halt and Benidorm station, both belonging to line 1 of the Alicante TRAM (FGV network in Alicante).

Affecting a stretch of more than 6 km that includes the immediate surroundings of the line route and additional and adjacent strips to it, the works will provide the Alicante TRAM rail service with greater capacity, improving the frequencies and services offered to the passenger.
