The joint venture formed by the companies INGECID , DEGREE OF FREEDOM y A-INGENIA has been awarded the contract for the construction management, technical assistance and health and safety coordination of the works of the “Project for the construction of the Quisi Viaduct on the Calp-Teulada section of line 9 of the Alicante TRAM network“, with a duration of 15 months. The process, in which a total of 5 bids were submitted, was managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV).

The rehabilitation works carried out by FGV on the current Quisi viaduct, built between 1913 and 1915, as part of the line linking Alicante and Denia, have allowed it to remain open to the circulation of current trains. The Generalitat contemplates the execution of investments aimed at the renovation of the track and the adaptation of the viaduct and infrastructures to maintain the quality of service and match the quality standards of the rest of the FGV network in Alicante (Spain).

These actions are being carried out on Line 9 (Benidorm-Denia) of the Alicante TRAM, which is to be fully modernised. Specifically, the services contracted include the Site Management, Technical Assistance and Health and Safety Coordination required during the execution of the construction works of the Quisi Viaduct on the Calp Teulada section of line 9, as well as the provision of technical office support including the implementation, monitoring and updating of the BIM execution plan. It should be noted that FGV has adopted this BIM methodology for the drafting and execution of the works of this contract and is committed to continuing this methodology throughout the life cycle of the infrastructure

The works are located on Line 9 of the FGV TRAM network within the municipality of Benissa (Alicante, Spain), with a Material Execution Budget of €8,354,262.37 and a duration of 12 months. The works include the construction of 700 ml of metric gauge track, including a new post-tensioned viaduct with a total length of 370 metres.
