The 8th edition of the Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management Summit, organised by ACI (Active Communications International), was held in London on 23th and 24th February. The event brings together different professionals from the nuclear sector, such as energy suppliers, plant owners and operators, industry experts and investors in the nuclear industry.
INGECID is once again committed to promoting these initiatives by supporting and sponsoring the event, where updates on the main developments in the areas of nuclear power plant decommissioning and waste management are shared. In addition, the event is presented as an opportunity to make contact with the main leaders in the nuclear industry and to learn about the latest developments in this sector.
On the other hand, INGECID has participated in the event represented by Jesús de Paz, Director of the Engineering Design and BIM Department, and Javier Alonso, Director of Nuclear Engineering Department of INGECID, who were two of the speakers, with the presentation “New Digitalisation Tools for Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management”. The presentation focused on BIM Methodology applied to NPP decommissioning and waste management and decommissioning and waste management platform: Vircore.
