On 27th November Ingecid participated in the conference “INNOVATION IN UNDERGROUND WORKS MANAGEMENT” together with the company Viuda de Sainz, organised by INTERBIAK, with the attendance of people in charge of different public administrations of the País Vasco.

Jesús de Paz, head of design engineering and BIM at INGECID, was in charge of explaining the “collaboration strategy proposed for the works. Common data environment”.

For his part, José Manuel Baraibar (technical director of Viuda de Sainz), was in charge of the presentation “Description of the works. Contractual environment considered for the BIM methodology”.

Regarding INGECID’s role in the works on Section 9 of the Bilbao South Metropolitan Bypass, Jesús de Paz explained the functionality of VIRCORE, an innovative digital project and works management platform, compatible with the BIM work methodology, developed by Ingecid, which is the management system used to carry out the management of this work.

Miguel Gil (works group manager at INTERBIAK), pointed out that they are already using VIRCORE with very good results.
