Jokin Rico, Technical Director of INGECID, participated as a speaker in the session “Innovative solutions for installation and operation to mitigate the LCOE pressures on the supply chain” which took place on 4 April in the framework of the Wind Energy Bilbao 2019 conference. This session, moderated by Emilia Terry (Head of Business Intelligence, Haizea Wind Group) and Mikkel Hedegaard Kristensen (Head of Engineering – Offshore Business Unit, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy), was attended by companies such as ESTEYCO, Wood Mackenzie Power and Renewables and Renewables and Swire Blue Ocean.

The presentation introduced a new pre-design methodology for gravity foundations for offshore wind turbines. This methodology aims to provide a homogenisation tool for the assessment of different GBF typologies in a fast and efficient way, providing support in decision making.
