The project “Development of methodology and associated tools for the use of information modelling (BIM) in the management and optimisation of the decommissioning of nuclear power plants” has received a grant co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the FEDER Operational Programme 2014-2020 of Cantabria through the INNOVA 2018 grant line.

The objective of the project is the development of APIs and a methodology of use to address the needs of the dismantling process that are not covered by the existing 4D BIM tools on the market. These include an API for the calculation of the dose received by the workers and the API for the modification and generation of geometry. In addition, an information management system has been designed that links the database with the designed 3D models, considerably improving the workflow.
