INGECID has participated in the 46th Annual Meeting of the Spanish Nuclear Society (SNE), held from October 6 to 8 in Granada, the most important meeting for professionals and companies in the nuclear sector in Spain.
On this occasion, INGECID took part with the presentation of three papers:
- In the field of engineering and innovation, Diego Rodríguez presented the paper “Optimisation of Steel-plate composite walls for nuhoms eos spent fuel storage system”.
- In the field of decommissioning, Jesús de Paz Sierra presented the paper “VIRCORE. Collaborative platform for the management of nuclear power plant decommissioning projects with digital models”.
- In the field of fuel, Javier Alonso Sanz presented the paper “COATI. Optimised loading of spent fuel containers in an ATI”.
INGECID also took part in the “Industria nuclear 4.0” workshop on behalf of ENRESA, along with the companies GDES, GE Hitachi, Iberdrola, Tecnatom, TotalYmage and Westinghouse. This workshop dealt with issues related to the application of the latest techniques for the digitalisation of industrial environments, virtual reality and augmented reality, among other technologies, where Yolanda Hernández, from INGECID’s Department of Design Engineering and BIM, showed the latest advances in the digitalisation of processes in the field of Nuclear Power Plant decommissioning.
