Modification of the design of the Individualized Temporary Storage (ATI)
INGECID, in joint venture with Westinghouse, is carrying out the design modification of the Individualized Temporary Storage (ITS) of the Santa María de Garoña Nuclear Power Plant, in Burgos (Spain) to house the entire spent fuel inventory as well as the special wastes. The work includes the calculations by discipline (structural, thermal, radiological, electrical,…) and the preparation of the licensing documentation to be submitted to the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) as part of the Decommissioning Authorization Request.
