Design of hybrid polyconcrete in situ towers for Gamesa wind turbines from 3.X to 4.X MW with different heights of up to 165 m

INGECID has developed numerous structural design works of concrete-steel hybrid towers for wind turbines of up to 4.5 MW onshore with different heights of up to 165 m. The concrete part takes advantage of the Polycone geometry for its construction in situ. The metal part and the wind turbine are provided by the client, Siemens Gamesa, which currently has several wind turbines on the market (2.X, 3.X, 4.X).
The design process covers different stages, from the analysis and application of different regulatory frameworks, study of alternatives and definition of pre-designs to the development and optimization of the final solution, leading to the certification of the tower by DNV-GL. In all these stages we actively work with the client in search of the best solution.
