Within ENRESA‘s Strategic Systems Plan, one of the key aspects for the optimization of the decommissioning processes of the Spanish nuclear power plants is the development of a digital solution which will provide the agents with tools for the integral management of the wastes generated during the processes. This solution will not only incorporate best practices, but will also define future organizational needs to efficiently optimize their business processes.
INGECID, as the successful bidder for an amount of 2,938,445.52 € and a period of 60 months, will be in charge of the design and ad-hoc development of the solution, for which it will adopt as the base platform for the developments, its integral management platform VIRCORE. The key of the proposal lies in the different modules currently offered by VIRCORE, which, thanks to the different adaptations to be made, will make it possible to meet ENRESA’s specific needs. Besides, the compliance of the platform with the different nuclear and BIM (Building Information Modeling) regulations in force; a methodology which is gaining ground, with its growing adoption both by public organizations and by private companies, due to the value contributed in the improvement of efficiency and project management
The INGECID team will carry out the creation of new specific tools, equipping the VIRCORE platform with innovations adapted to the nuclear sector, ranging from authorization supervision and waste management to data analysis and asset monitoring, among other capabilities.
To this end, our experts will conduct an exhaustive analysis to identify and define the characteristics to be met by these tools, which will allow them to define and adopt a strategic development plan based on agile methodologies. This approach will ensure the delivery of minimum viable products, thus facilitating continuous customer interaction throughout the project.
INGECID’s proposal will also ensure a constant and secure flow of data and information among the various platforms of ENRESA’s technological ecosystem. This will be possible thanks to VIRCORE’s flexibility and its ability to integrate with other solutions. The result will be an interconnected digital solution which will provide ENRESA’s agents with an agile and secure access to the most updated information generated during the decommissioning of nuclear power plants, optimizing the different processes carried out and increasing their efficiency.
