The joint venture formed by INGECID, GEOCONSULT and EIS-GUIA has been awarded the service contract for the preparation of additional studies, technical review and modelling of the installations of the projects promoted by the Directorate General for Public Transport Infrastructures.
With a duration of 36 months and a base budget of 2.87 million euros, this project reinforces our commitment to innovation and efficiency in the development of strategic infrastructures.
Objective of the contract
Specifically, the contract aims to optimise and technically improve transport infrastructure projects through BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety and operational efficiency.
The work includes:
- Technical review of construction projects, ensuring technical feasibility and regulatory compliance.
- Preparation of additional studies, covering specific reports on noise, vibration, traffic, environment and heritage.
- BIM modelling of key facilities, including stations, reservoirs and wells of interest to improve infrastructure management and maintenance.
- Assessment of environmental and urban impacts, enabling sustainable planning aligned with legal requirements.
This project will be managed using the VIRCORE common data environment (CDE), which will allow centralised management of information, optimising decision-making at each stage of the project.
BIM methodology: the future of urban transport
The use of BIM in rail and transport infrastructures represents a key advance in the digital transformation of the sector. Thanks to this methodology, the project will guarantee:
- Greater precision in the planning and execution of works.
- Reduction of errors and interferences in the design and construction phases.
- Cost optimisation through simulations and impact analysis.
- Sustainability and energy efficiency, aligned with environmental objectives.
At INGECID, we have been promoting advanced BIM solutions for large infrastructure projects for years, ensuring seamless integration between disciplines and optimising decision-making in real time.
